We've recently completed on our first home, and chose Silverstone as our surveyors. As soon as I got in touch, the team were very quick to send a detailed quote, along with their T&C's and potential survey dates. Once confirmed, they handled the booking with the Estate Agent, and kept to the agreed timeline precisely.

Before commissioning our survey, we had read a few examples from other providers, and one real survey for another property that someone else had commissioned, and all of them had seemed a bit generic, so we were a bit worried that ours was going to be the same.

However, this should not have been a concern at all, as our survey came back fully tailored to our house, confirming some of the things that we suspected already, and offering lots of new useful information we didn't know. With this info, we were able to instruct builders to provide quotes for some extra work required before we could move in. We didn't need to get in touch with Ross, the surveyor again, but he did offer to answer any follow up questions we had regarding the survey. I had a full building survey carried out by Silverstone as a first time buyer. My initial contact was with Richard, he called me the day after sending a quote request.

All contact was polite and helpful. The survey itself was carried out in a quick timeframe. It was to a very high quality, with 99 pages of useful information, with images etc. It was also well presented.

Lastly the price was very good. "Cheapest" is not the way to go on a survey, but the price was definitely a bonus.

I would use Silverstone again if I'm in need of a survey.
